Emergency Admissions

Not all healthcare needs can be planned so it is important that emergency cases are admitted quickly to hospital. We can accept unplanned or out of hours admissions with minimum inconvenience and delay. This will include the organisation of private ambulance transfer if necessary and liaison between the family doctor and the appropriate consultant.

The hospital can accept unplanned or emergency admissions via a family doctor under the care of a nominated consultant, 24 hours a day. Once your family doctor has contacted the hospital, the nurse in charge can make all the necessary arrangements including contacting the appropriate consultant, arranging private ambulance transfer and arranging the admission. If you have insurance, you should contact your insurance company as soon as possible to ensure that your admission is eligible for cover.
