Services
Breast Augmentation

The Procedure

Our surgeons make the incision in the crease of the armpit, since in most cases the scar is almost invisible. The incision is made with a special instrument designed to create space for the implant. The extent of the incision must be smooth and appropriate for the size of the implant. After surgery, a bandage will be applied over your breasts for two days after surgery to speed up healing.

Types Of Implants

All breasts implants utilise a silicone shell but contain different kinds of filler, gel or saline. The outer silicone shell may be smooth, shiny and polished or a slightly rough texture. Breasts augmented with the textured implants are less likely to develop contracting capsules than those with the smooth implants.

Placement Of Implants

There are two techniques for placing the implants:
 1. The implants are placed under the breasts tissue and over the chest muscle.
 2. The implants are placed under the chest muscle and over the breast tissue.
These two options should be thoroughly discussed between the surgeon and patient.

Duration Of Operation

The Procedure lasts between 30 minutes - 1 hour.

Risks & Complications

Capsular contracture can occur if the capsules around the implants begin to tighten and thicken. This will cause the breasts to feel hard and appear unnatural. Hear breasts can be treated in several ways. Sometimes removal of the capsule is required, or perhaps the implant needs to be replaced. Bleeding is usually minimal during the operation. In an unusual case, bleeding after surgery may cause a large blood clot that needs to be removed. Infection is an uncommon risk, however is a breast become infected, the implant must be removed immediately. You will need to wait several months before repeating the operation.

Recovery & After Care Treatment:

. All dressings and bandages are removed on the third day following the operation; afterwards the patient is free to bathe as usual.
. The patient is requested to gently move the implants upward, downward and inward in order to decrease the chances of capsule contracture.
. Only gentle massaging is recommended. Overly aggressive manipulation of the implant or strong squeezing can possibly cause inflammation, thus producing an adverse effect on the capsules.
. During the first month following surgery you should exercise your implants 3 - 4 times per fifteen to twenty minutes. After that, if the breast contour has improved satisfactorily, you will only need to exercise once or twice per day.

Results

Breast augmentation increases breast size and may also balance your body proportions. Clothes may fit better and you may also experience an increase in confidence and self-esteem.

Hospital Admission

One night admission to hospital.

Anaesthetics

General anaesthetics that renders the patient unconscious.

Pre-Operative Assessment For Size & Placement Of The Implant

. Our goal is to augment your breast size in better proportion to your physique and maintain a natural look.
. The size and placement of the implant we choose will depend on many factors, such as your original cup size, your desired cup size and your physique, including chest muscle.
. If you only have a small amount of breast tissue and want to enhance the tissue as much a possible it is recommended that a large implant is placed below the muscle in order to prevent the feeling or appearance of an implant. There is also less chance of a capsular contracture.
. If you have large chest muscles as a result of exercising, the implant should be placed above the muscles in order to allow for more comfortable movement and a natural look.
. For patients with mild to moderate breast sagging, larger implants placed over the muscle is recommended. The larger the implant, the greater and more favourable the augmentation.

Post-Operative Care

For at least 3 - 5 days after surgery, try to keep arm extension to a minimum. After removing the gauze dressing, you may be required to wear a support bra to help your breasts form and maintain a pleasing and balanced shape. You will probably be able to resume exercise and normal physical activities within a month or two once the soreness has subsided.

Breast Reduction

The Procedure

There are many ways to perform a breast reduction, so the method must be tailored for each patient. A common method of surgery is to mark the new nipple position, and then with the blood supply of the nipple preserved on a pedicle of tissue, the excess breast is removed. The nipple is then moved to the new position and the breast shape is reconstructed. The incision is often around the nipple and on the under surface of the breast, like an upside down T. The operation is done under general anaesthesia while the patient is asleep.

Patients who receive this procedure usually remain in hospital overnight. If the breasts are not too large and the skin has good elasticity then liposuction may be possible. This is especially useful for women who wish to avoid having long scars. It is possible that this technique may preserve the ability to breast-feed. For many surgeons this method has become the most popular way to perform breast reduction surgery for a patient who is about DD cup. Very large breasts still require the more traditional methods that result in longer scars.

Duration Of Operation

Operation lasts 1 - 3 hours.

Risks & Complications

The risks of surgery are divided into two groups. First, those that are seen in all operations and second those that are unique or special to a particular operation. In the first group, the main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, a scar and numbness or change in sensation. The main problem that is unique to the operation is damage to the blood supply of the nipple and a heavy scar. Breast-feeding may not be possible after surgery. Breast reduction surgery DOES NOT increases the risk of breast cancer and indeed may slightly decrease the risk.

After Care

After surgery you will be wrapped in elastic bandages or gauze dressings and a surgical bra. A small tube may be placed in each breast to drain blood and fluids for the first day or two. The extent of the post-operative swelling and bruising is dependent on whether you tend to bruise or swell easily. The amount you can expect also varies for each individual, but you can use past surgeries or injuries as a good indication. Applying cold compresses or an ice pack will help reduce the swelling and relieve discomfort, regular icing is the key to reducing swelling.

The bandages will be removed a day or two after the surgery, although you will continue wearing the surgical bra around the clock for several weeks until the swelling and bruising subsides. In most cases, stitches can be removed in one to three weeks. Sometimes the surgeon will use only dissolvable sutures. If the breast skin is very dry following the surgery, moisturiser can be applied several times a day, but the suture area must be kept dry at all times.

Recovery

The recovery usually takes 1 - 2 weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two.

Results

The surgeon will always make every effort to make your scars look as inconspicuous as possible. Still it's also important to remember that mastopexy scars are extensive and permanent. They often remain lumpy and red for months and then gradually become less obvious, sometimes even fading to thin white lines. Fortunately the scars can usually be placed so that you can even wear low cut tops.

Upper Eyelid Surgery

The Procedure

The upper eyelid incision is made in the natural skin fold. Excess skin and fatty tissue is removed, the muscles and orbital septum (a thin connective tissue membrane) may be tightened, and the incisions are carefully closed. The external incisions are hidden under the natural folds of the upper eyelids. Much of the operation is done with very fine electrocautery, which controls any bleeding. The skin is then closed with very fine sutures.

Duration Of Operation

One hour.

Risks & Complications

. Complications in eyelid surgery are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, there is always the possibility of complications including, bleeding, infection or a reaction to the anaesthetics. You can reduce your risks by closely following your surgeon's instructions both before and after surgery.

. The minor complications that occasionally follow blepharoplasty include double or blurred vision for a few days; temporary swelling at the corner of the eyelids and slight asymmetry in the healing or scarring. Tiny whiteheads may appear after your stitches are taken out; your surgeon can remove them very easily with a fine needle.

. Following surgery some patients may have difficulty closing their eyes when sleeping; in rare cases this condition may be permanent. Another very rare complication is ectropion, a pulling of the lower eyelids. In this care, further surgery may be required.

After Care

. After surgery, the surgeon will probably lubricate your eyes with ointment and may apply a bandage. Your eyelids may feel tight and sore as the anaesthesia wears off, but you can control any discomfort with the pain medication prescribed by the surgeon. If you feel any severe pain, call your surgeon immediately.

. Your surgeon will instruct you to keep your head elevated for several days and use cold compresses to reduce swelling and bruising (bruising varies from person to person; it reaches its peak in the first week and generally lasts anywhere between two weeks to a month). You'll be shown how to clean your eyes, which may be gummy for a week or so. Many doctors recommend eye drops, since your eyes may feel dry at first and your eyes may itch and burn. For the first few weeks you may also experience excessive tearing, sensitivity to light and temporary changes to your eyesight such as blurring and double vision.

. Your surgeon will follow your progress very closely for the first week or two. The stitches will be removed two days to a week after surgery. Once they're out, the swelling and discolouration around your eyes will gradually subside and you'll start to look and feel much better.

Recovery

. At first the incisions will probably be red and somewhat bumpy. Eventually the resulting scar should become flat and inconspicuous. Your sutures (stitches) will be removed sometime within the first week.

. The swelling and discoloration around your eyes will gradually subside and you'll start to look and feel better each day. Swelling and bruising varies considerably from person to person. Bruising typically disappears after ten days. Within the first week you'll be permitted to use makeup, if desired, to conceal any discoloration.

. Your vision may continue to be somewhat blurry for a few days or longer. Your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light, and you may experience excess tearing or dryness. You may receive eye drops to help relieve any burning or itching.

Results

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty can make a remarkable difference in the appearance of the face, alleviating the appearance of tiredness and old age. The eyes appear fresher and more youthful and these results may last for many. The degree of improvement varies from patient to patient.

Hospital Admission

This depends on your preferences as well as your surgeons. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty can be performed on an outpatient basis, in the hospital, or in an ambulatory surgical suite under general or local anaesthesia.

Anaesthetic

General or Local anaesthesia.

Pre-Operative Care

Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s) and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription)

Post-Operative Care

. For the first week, you'll need to avoid activities that dry the eyes, including reading, watching television, wearing contacts and using a computer. Also avoid excessive blinking, which leads to increased swelling. You should also wear dark for a couple of weeks to protect your eyes from wind and sun irritation. The eyes may tire easily for several weeks so frequent naps are helpful.

. For the first 3 or 4 weeks, you should avoid any activity that increases blood flow to the eyes including bending, lifting, crying and sports. Your surgeon will let you know when you are ready for exercise. Also avoid drinking alcohol, which can lead to fluid retention and delay recovery.

Service Inclusions

Lower Eyelid Surgery

The Procedure

For a traditional lower lid blepharoplasty, an incision is made between the lash lines. Excess fat, muscle and skin are removed. Fine sutures are used to close the incision. Permanent stitches will be removed 3-5 days after the procedure. If you have a pocket of fat beneath your lower eyelids but do not need to have loose skin removed, in this procedure the incision is made inside your lower eyelid leaving no visible scar. It is usually performed on younger patients with fatty lower eyelids. Trasnconjuctivital blepharoplasty does not tighten the skin and reduces the puffiness in the lower eyelid region.

Duration Of Operation

Half an hour to one hour.

Risks & Complications

. Lagging of the eyelid is the abnormal position of the lower eyelid after surgery because of poor function of the eyelid before surgery. This can be reduced by exercising the eyelid muscle before surgery.
. Retrobulbar haematoma (bleeding in the eye) is rare but it can be serious. Symptoms include loss of vision.
. Temporary problems with excessive tearing.
. Decreased sensation in the eyelid.
. Dry eyes - dryness, burning, stinging, gritty sensation in the eyes.
. Prominence or firmness of the scars.
. Blurred vision asymmetry in healing or scarring.
. Millia or whiteheads where sutures emanate from the skin.
. Difficulty closing the eyes completely, in rare cases this conditions may be permanent.

After Care

The first evening after surgery you should rest quietly with your head elevated. It will help to apply cold compresses to your eyelids (avoid any compress that is heavier than an ounce. A ziploc bag with a few frozen peas works well). Your blood pressure should be monitored to avoid bleeding complications that can affect vision. And although you can be up almost immediately, you should limit your activities.

Recovery

. At first the incisions will be red and somewhat bumpy. Eventually, the resulting scar should become flat and inconspicuous. Your sutures (stitches) will be removed sometime within the first week.

. The swelling and discoloration around the eyes will gradually subside and you'll start to look and feel better every day. Swelling and bruising varies considerably from person to person. Bruising typically disappears within 7 - 10 days. Within the first two weeks you will be permitted to use makeup, if desired, to conceal any discoloration.

. Your vision may continue to be somewhat blurry for a few days or longer. Your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to sunlight and you may experience excess tearing or dryness. You may receive eye drops to help relieve and burning or itching.

Results

This surgery will make eyes look brighter, larger and more rested by removing loose skin, stretched muscle and excess fat. In some people this procedure will improve vision by removing the excessive skin of the upper eyelids, which can hand down and interfere with peripheral vision. Eyes will look more youthful. The surgery of the lower lids should smooth out bulges, take away fat bags from under the eyes and make the skin look snugger. One will look rested and the results tend to be long lasting. It is most common to have this surgery between the ages of 38 - 50.

Hospital Admission

This depends on your preferences as well as your surgeon's. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be performed on an outpatient basis, in hospital or in am ambulatory surgical suite under general or local anaesthetics.

Anaesthetic

General or local anaesthesia.

Full Face Lift

The Procedure

Procedure incision usually begin above the hairline at the temples, following the natural line in front of the ear and curve behind the earlobe into the crease behind the ear and then into or along the scalp so as to make scars nearly invisible. In general, the surgeon separates the skin from the fat and muscle below. Fat may be trimmed or suctioned from around the neck and chin to improve the contour. The surgeon then tightens the underlying muscle and membrane, pulls the skin back and removes the excess. Stitches secure the layers of the tissue and close the incisions. After deep tissues are tightened, the excess skin is pulled up and back, trimmed and sutured into place.

Duration Of Operation

Three hours.

Risks & Complications

Complications that can occur include haematoma (a collection of blood under the skin), injury to the nerves that control the facial muscles (usually temporary), infections and reactions to the anaesthesia. Poor healing of the skin is most likely to affect smokers. Most of the incision is concealed and not noticeable. It is most likely to be heavy behind the ear where there is greater tension.

After Care

Following surgery a thin small tube may be temporarily placed under the skin behind your ear to drain any blood that might collect there. The surgeon may also wrap your head loosely in bandages to minimise swelling and bruising.

Recovery

The recovery takes one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two.

Hospital Admission

One night admission to hospital.

Anaesthetic

General anaesthetics (you are asleep).

Pre-Operative Care

Forehead Lift

The Procedure

. The principle of this procedure is to elevate the eyebrows in order to correct abnormally low eyebrows to their correct position.
. The incisions for brow lifting are hidden within the hair by placing them a few centimetres behind the frontal hairline.
. The face and eyelids are not tightened by a forehead lift, although the upper lid skin may be stretched.

Duration Of Operation

One Hour.

Risks & Complications

. The main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in sensation.
. The problem unique to this operation is damage to the nerves on the scalp, thus causing numbness behind the incision. The risk is reduced but not eliminated with endoscopic forehead lifting.
. Another problem is scar stretching. Because scars do not grow hair, this may be noticeable on those with thin hair.

After Care

If bandages were used, they will be removed a day or two after surgery.

Recovery

There will be some pain for a few days, which will require some pain medications. While infections are extremely rare, antibiotics are utilised to avoid any potential infection. Swelling and any black and blueness that occurs around the eyes will generally be gone within 10 - 12 days following the surgery.

Results

Patients may experience some numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision, which can be controlled with prescription medication. As the nerves heal, numbness on the top of the scalp may be replaced by itching. These sensations may take as long as six months to fully disappear.

Hospital Admission

One night admission to hospital.

Anaesthetic

The Procedure

The incisions are placed on the rim of the alar of the nose. A dissection along the nose is done to create the appropriate space for a silicone implant. Soft medical grade silicone implant is carved intraoperatively and inserted through an incision inside the nose to increase the height of the nose and refine nasal tip projection.

Duration Of Operation

One Hour.

Risks & Complications

. When nose augmentation is performed, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, there is always a possibility of complications occurring, these include, infection, nosebleed or a reaction to the anaesthesia. You can reduce your risks by closely following your surgeon's instructions both before and after the surgery.

. After surgery, small burst blood vessels may appear as tiny red spots on the skins surface; these are usually minor but may be permanent. As for scarring, when nose augmentation is performed from inside the nose, there is no visible scarring at all; when an "open" technique is used, or when the procedure calls for narrowing of flared nostrils, the small scars on the base of the nose are usually not visible.

After Care

The nose will be covered with either plaster or a light metal or light plastic splint to maintain the position of the nasal bones.

Recovery

Most nose augmentation patients are up and about within two days and are able to return to work a week or so following surgery. It will be several weeks however before you're entirely up to speed.

Results

Your nose will begin to look better and your splints will improve. Within a week or two, you'll no longer look as though you've had surgery.

Hospital Admission

Most patients do not need to stay in the hospital overnight.

Anaesthetic

The operation is done under either local anaesthetic (you're awake) or general anaesthetic (you're asleep). Most patients are happier when they're asleep. It is up to you to decide, most of the time, this is an outpatient operation and a stay in hospital is not needed.

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions and all medications that you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin or aspirin containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Post-Operative Care

. You're surgeon will give you more specific guideline for gradually resuming your normal activities.
. You will still need to be careful to not blow your nose for about two weeks, and avoid bumps to the nose for about six weeks. Eyeglasses should be taped to the forehead, off the bridge of the nose, for the first month. Avoid strenuous activity (jogging, swimming, bending, sexual relations-any activity that increases your blood pressure) for two to three weeks. Avoid hitting or rubbing your nose, or getting it sunburned, for eight weeks. Be gentle when washing your face and hair or using cosmetics.

Nose Reduction

The Procedure

The incisions are placed on the rim of the alar of the nose. Soft tissues of the nose are then separated form the underlying structures, the bone and cartilage are then reshaped from the skin and re-draped over the surface. Patients who have a deviated septum may benefit by correction of this problem at the time of the surgery.

Duration Of Operation

Two hours.

Risks & Complications

. When nose reduction is performed, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, there is always a possibility of complications occurring, these include, infection, nosebleed or a reaction to the anaesthesia. Alaplasty

The Procedure

The alar of the nose is reduced and suture in its position. The aim is to make a balance between the nasal tip and the alar.

Duration Of Operation

Half hour.

Risks & Complications

. A little bleeding is common during the first few days following surgery and the patient may continue to feel some stiffness for several weeks.
. The patient must try not to blow their nose for a week or so while the nose heals.

After Care

Nasal packing will be removed after a few days and the nose will feel much more comfortable. Within the first two weeks all dressings, splints and stitches should be removed.

Recovery

Most alaplasty patients are up and about within two days and are able to return to work a week or so following surgery.

Cheek Bone Contouring

The Procedure

The cheek bone will be reduced by bone contouring. The approach is usually through the mouth so no incisions are necessary, rarely are implants placed through a lower eyelid incision.

Duration Of Operation

One hour.

Risks & Complications

. Bleeding usually comes through the surface of the resected bone. However, the use of surgical drains and ice packs immediately applied to the affected area will significantly reduce the risk or bleeding.
. Infection is an uncommon risk. Prophylactic antibiotics is routinely administered per and postoperatively. After the intra-oral surgery, you need to clean your mouth with a provided mouth wash solution. Nothing must be taken orally for at least 24 hours.
. The facial nerve may be temporarily disturbed. However, full recover can be expected. The odds of permanent damage are very rare when performed by an experienced surgeon.

After Care

Special mouthwash should be applied to preserve oral hygiene in case of an intra-oral incision.

Recovery

The recovery takes one to two weeks and most people are back to work within two weeks.

Results

A classically shaped face contouring is mainly to maximize bone structure and attractiveness.

Hospital Admission

One-day admission in case of general anaesthesia.

Anaesthetic

Local anaesthetics.

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions and all medications that you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin or aspirin containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Post-Operative Care

Your plastic surgeon will provide you with instructions about post-operative care. There will be dietary restrictions as well as limitations to your activities. However, you should be aware that your ability to move your mouth and lips might be diminished temporarily.

Service Inclusions

Cheek Augmentation

The Procedure

Cheek augmentations are generally completed utilizing an implant, but certain bone cuts and bone segment repositioning are useful in selected individuals. Various sizes and thickness of implants are available to fit individual differences and desires. The implants are most often placed with the patient under sedation and utilizing local anesthesia. The approach is usually through the mouth so no skin incisions are necessary. Rarely are implants placed through a lower eyelid incision. The implants are placed through a tunnel, into a pocket under the soft tissues, and immediately overlying the cheekbones.

Duration Of Operation

One hour.

Risks & Complications

. Bleeding usually comes through the surface of respected bone. However, the use of surgical drains and ice pack immediately applied to the affected area will significantly reduce this risk.
. Infection is an uncommon risk. Prophylactic antibiotics is routinely administered pre and postoperatively. After the intra-oral surgery, you need to clean your mouth with a provided mouth wash solution. Nothing must be taken orally for at least 24 hours.
. A careful preoperative assessment and a complete set of bone reshaping instruments can prevent such problems.
. The facial nerve may be temporarily disturbed. However, full recovery can be expected.
. The permanent damage is very rare when performed by an experienced plastic surgeon.
. For the mandibular angle resection, there is less chance of injury when using the intra-oral approach than the extra-oral one.

After Care

Special mouthwash should be applied to preserve oral hygiene in case of an intraoral incision.

Recovery

The recovery takes one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two.

Chin Augmentation

The Procedure

The method must be tailored to the individual patients needs. The principal is to create a pocket at the chin and place an implant into the pocket. The incision may be placed in the crease lines under the chin or in the mouth. Some patients need more extensive surgery to re-position the bone of the chin. The operation is done under either local anesthesia (you are awake) or general anesthesia (you are asleep). You can choose. Most of the time this is an outpatient operation and a stay in the hospital is not needed. It is not unusual to combine this operation with a rhinoplasty to improve the facial profile.

Duration Of Operation

Thirty minutes.

Risks & Complications

The main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in feeling.

After Care

After surgery, the surgeon usually applies a dressing that will remain in place for two to three days. You will experience some tenderness. Post-operative discomfort can be controlled with prescribed medications. Chewing will probably be limited immediately after chin surgery, and a liquid and soft food diet may be required for a few days after surgery. Most patients feel a stretched, tight sensation after the surgery, but this usually subsides in a week.

Recovery

The recovery takes one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two.

Result

A classically shaped face contoured to maximize prevalent norms of attractiveness and beauty.

Hospital Admission

Most patients do not need to stay in the hospital overnight.

Chin Shaving

The Procedure

The incisions are made either in the mouth or under the chin. The surgeon sculpts the bone to a more pleasing size. For orthognathic surgery, the surgeon will make an incision inside the mouth and reposition the facial bones. The procedure, depending on the extent of the work, takes from less than an hour to approximately three hours.

Duration Of Operation

Thirty minutes.

Risks & Complications

The main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in sensation.

After Care

After surgery, the surgeon usually applies a dressing that will remain in place for two to three days. You will experience some tenderness. Most patients feel a stretched, tight sensation after the surgery, but this usually subsides in a week.

Recovery

After approximately six weeks, most swelling will be gone, and you can enjoy the results of your procedure. Rigorous activity may be prohibited for the first few weeks after surgery. Normal activity can be resumed after approximately ten days.

Result

A classically shaped face contoured to maximise prevalent norms of attractiveness and beauty.

Hospital Admission

One night admission to hospital.

Ear Surgery

The Procedure

Surgery begins with an incision just behind the ear, in the natural fold where the ear is joined to the head. The surgeon will then remove the necessary amounts of cartilage and skin required to achieve the right effect. In some cases, the surgeon will trim the cartilage, shaping it into a more desirable form and then pin the cartilage back with permanent sutures to secure the cartilage.

In other instances, the surgeon will not remove any cartilage at all, using stitches to hold the cartilage permanently in place. After sculpting the cartilage to the desired shape, the surgeon will apply sutures to anchor the ear until healing occurs to hold the ear in the desired position.

Technique

An incision is made in the back of the ear so cartilage can be sculpted or folded. Stitches are used to close the incision and help maintain the new shape.

Duration Of Operation

Two hours.

Risks & Complications

The risks are minimum. There will be a thin white scar behind the ear after healing. Because this scar is in a natural crease behind the ear, the problem of visibility is inconsequential. Anything unusual should be reported to the surgeon immediately.

After Care

Soft dressings applied to the ears will remain for a few days. Most patients experience some mild discomfort. If you are accustomed to sleeping on your side, your sleep patterns may be disrupted for a week or so because you cannot put any pressure on the ear areas. Headbands are sometimes recommended to hold the ears in the desired position for two weeks after the surgery.

Recovery

Adults and children are usually up and around a few hours after surgery. The patients head will be wrapped in a bulking bandage to promote the best moulding and healing.

Results

This procedure has the effect of creating normal-appearing ears that lie neatly, close to the side of the head, whilst keeping the scar hidden behind the ear.

Hospital Admission

Patients do not usually need to remain overnight at the hospital.

Anaesthetic

Local anaesthetics (you are asleep).

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin and aspirin-containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Post-Operative Care

Most normal activities can be resumed within a few weeks, but you will need to be very careful to protect your ears for at least 6 weeks, or possibly even longer. In order to make sure that there is no infection or bleeding in the ear after the surgery, you must be very careful to protect the ears and keep them clean.

Service Inclusions

Here is a list of what is included in the Ear Surgery price:
Surgical Fee:
. Pre-surgery night and one night recuperation in hospital.

Botox Injection

The Procedure

Botox (botulism toxin) is a compound produced by bacteria. It temporarily paralyzes muscle, beginning about 1 week after being injected into the muscle. Botox can be used to smooth wrinkles in the neck and face to create a more youthful appearance. It is especially useful in the eye area. Removing wrinkles from between the eyes can dramatically change a person's look from one of permanent anger or sadness to one of contentment and a well-rested look.

Surgical Technique

Botox Injections are simple. First, the skin is treated with a topical numbing agent, and you may be given a sedative as well. Next, very small amounts of Botox are strategically injected in different parts of the face. This is accomplished with thin needles that cause very little pain.

Duration Of Operation

10 - 15 minutes.

Risks & Complications

Mild bruising or swelling may occur at the site of the injection. The treatment may also cause a brief headache. In rare cases, the injections may cause the eyebrow or upper eyelid to droop, but this condition is temporary and corrects itself without treatment within 2 to 3 weeks.

Side Effects

Most patients experience minimal pain or discomfort following injections. Swelling and puffiness at the site of the injection usually subside within a few days.

After Care

Care must be taken to keep the head upright and avoid massaging the treated area, so that the Botox affects only the desired areas.

Recovery

You'll probably be able to return to work or home immediately after the procedure.

Results

The results of the procedure are generally visible within 3 to 5 days. Although results vary, the results of an individual treatment last for about 4 to 6 months. The procedure may be repeated and, with each new treatment, the results tend to last longer.

Hospital Admission

Most patients do not need to stay in the hospital overnight.

Anaesthetic

Local anaesthetics (you are awake).

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin and aspirin-containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Post-Operative Care

Hair Transplant

The Procedure

We use the micrograft and minigraft megasession for the treatment of male pattern baldness. Micrograft means grafts with one or two hairs, minigrafts are those with three or four hairs, and a megasession is a procedure in which more than thousand micrografts and minigrafts are inserted in a single session. Natural and aesthetically pleasing results without visible scarring are usually achieved with this technique in one session. Even though the hair density achieved in a single megasession is limited, there is a high level of patient satisfaction. The procedure may be repeated for additional density.

Duration Of Operation

4 - 6 hours.

Risks & Complications

An infection or disorder of your scalp skin must be treated before hair grafting or it will interfere with the healing of your grafts. Such disorders include psoriasis, eczema, seborrhea (dandruff), and acne in and around the scalp. An underlying illness, such as diabetes or lowered immune resistance increases your risk of infection, poor healing, and poor growth of the grafted hair.

After Care

After six months the graft might start shedding, but will begin growing again.

Recovery

During the process of recovery, your scalp will ache and throb where the surgery was done. You may need prescription narcotic painkillers or over-the-counter acetaminophen (Tylenol).

Results

You may need a surgical "touch-up" procedure to create more natural-looking results after your incisions have healed. Sometimes, this involves blending, a filling-in of the hairline using a combination of mini-grafts, micro-grafts, or slit grafts.

Hospital Admission

Patients do not usually need to remain in the hospital.

Your scalp will be sore for a least a day. For some people, the discomfort lasts several days. You can carefully rinse but not vigorously wash your hair for the first ten days. If you are not careful, the grafts may become dislodged, bleed, and fail to grow new hair. You may brush or comb your hair where your surgery wasn't done. Also you can use a gentle blow dryer on a cool setting to dry your hair.

Liposuction

The Procedure

Liposuction is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery operations. The small canula is placed deep into the fatty layer and presser suction is applied until the fat is removed. Carefully sculpting the contour of the body is the key of success because the fat under the skin must be removed and the remaining fat has to be smooth but a thinner layer. After the surgery is complete, pressure dressing must be worn to the suction site to keep body contour in shape.

Duration Of Operation

30 minutes.

Risks & Complications

Bruise over the liposuction site usually seen on the first few days after surgery and will be disappear in the first week. Waving skin (rare) happens because of excess fat removal.

After Care

Pressure garment have to apply for a few days after surgery to keep body contour to be in shape and to reduce the post-operative bruises.

Recovery

Pain because of the surgery is very limited and patient can go back to work within two days.

Results

You will see a noticeable difference in the shape of your body quite soon after surgery. However, improvement will become even more apparent after about four to six weeks, when most of the swelling has subsided. After about three months, any persistent mild swelling usually disappears and the final contour will be visible.

Hospital Admission

One night admission in hospital.

Pre-Operative Care

Your surgeon will begin with a physical examination to evaluate your overall weight, your skin and muscle tone, and the pattern of distribution of fat deposits. He/she will also record a complete medical history, including your diet, exercise, and weight history. You will need to let him or her know about any medications that you are currently taking.

Post-Operative Care

You should avoid strenuous activities for several weeks as your body heals, but within 4 to 6 weeks you should be able to resume all normal activities. It's important to continue wearing the compression garment, which should be easily hidden under your clothing, until your doctor tells you that it is no longer necessary.

Lipectomy

The Procedure

The method of surgery is to tighten the skin of the abdomen by undermining the skin and stretching it. Excess skin and fat is then removed. The incision is placed across the lower abdomen but sometimes is like an upside down T. Clothing conceals the scars. The operation is done under general anaesthetic (you are asleep). Often this is an outpatient operation but many patients choose to stay in the hospital overnight. Patients who are obese or have large amounts of loose skin may need a modification of this operation called a panniculectomy.

Technique

This operation is done to tighten the loose skin of the abdomen and repair the weak muscles of the abdominal wall (rectus muscle). It is sometimes combined with liposuction to smooth the edges and improve the contour.

Duration Of Operation

1 - 3 hours.

Risks & Complications

All operations have some risk. The risks of surgery are divided into two groups. First, those that are common in all operations and second, and those that are unique to this particular operation. In the first group, the main risks are swelling, bruising, fluid collections, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or a change in sensation. The main problem, which is special for this operation, is the long and sometimes heavy scar. The incision is sometimes slow to heal and crusting or scabbing along the scar may occur for several weeks. This is a major operation and the risks of major surgery, such as blood clots in the legs, can occur.

After Care

. Bed rest for two to three days is recommended. While in bed, your legs should be bent at the hips in order to reduce the strain on the abdominal area. You will be provided with a firm abdominal binder to offer support to the tightened areas.
. Your doctor will give you instructions for showering and changing your dressings. And though you may not be able to stand up straight at first, you should start walking as soon as possible.
. Surface stitches will be removed in five to seven days upon surgery, and deeper sutures, with ends that protrude through the skin, will come out in two to three weeks.

Recovery

This is a major operation. The recovery takes at least one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within two to four weeks.

Results

Abdominoplasty, whether partial or complete, produces excellent results for patients with weakened abdominal muscles or excess skin. And in most cases, the results are long lasting, if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Hospital Admission

Three nights admission to hospital.

Anaesthetic

General anaesthetics.

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin and aspirin-containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Adam's Apple Contouring

The Procedure

The incision is usually 2 to 3 cm in length, and at the highest crease in the skin on the neck, since in most cases the scar is almost imperceptible. The thyroid cartilage is reduced, usually by carving at the most prominent area and the rim of its superior border. The cartilage carving is a delicate process and needs to be done meticulously.

Duration Of Operation

Half hour to one hour.

Risks & Complications

There is a risk of shaving too much cartilage and affecting the vocal chords that lie just behind the trachea. This may permanently affect the voice.

After Care

The application of an ice compress to the neck for twenty-four hours lowers the side effects. Occasional hoarseness may occur but it clears up immediately as the swelling subsides.

Recovery

The recovery takes at least one to two days.

Results

The appearance a smoother and more feminine neck.

Hospital Admission

Most patients do not need to stay in the hospital overnight.

Anaesthetic

Local anaesthetics.

Pre-Operative Care

. Inform us about any allergies, serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
. Avoid aspirin and aspirin-containing medicines for two weeks prior to surgery.

Post-Operative Care

Fat Injection

The Procedure

Fat can be harvested from one part of the body and then reinjected into another part of the body.

Technique

Liposuction technique.

Duration Of Operation

15 - 60 minutes.

Side Effects

Most patients experience minimal pain or discomfort following injections. Swelling and puffiness at the site of the injection usually subside within a few days.

After Care

Deep folds and depressions on injection areas can result from scars, wrinkles, or areas of atrophy. These can warrant special attention from a facial plastic surgeon.

Recovery

Most patients go back to work on the same day.

Results

Fat injections create a smooth, friendly, and youthful appearance by raising deep folds and depressions in your skin. The most frequent sites for injections are along the creases that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, around the lips, and along the frown lines above the nose.

Hospital Admission

Patients do not usually need to remain overnight in the hospital.
